In Memory of Casey: Giving Support to Rae

Hello Everyone. We are Geena Lewis and Kerrie Wooten. Last week, we tragically lost our dear younger brother, Casey. This unexpected loss has been difficult for anyone who knows and loves him. Casey was a sweet, kind, and compassionate person who gave so much to this world. To say that we are heartbroken is an understatement.

As Casey’s older sisters, we absolutely adored him and doted on him throughout his childhood. It was the happiest and most joyful experience having our little brother enter our lives when we were teenagers.

When our Dad, Dan, passed away in 2016, Casey took on many of our Dad’s responsibilities in order to help his Mom (and our Stepmom), Rae, who has been beset with some health challenges and is due to have surgery on her back in a few weeks. Casey helped so much, including running errands, cooking meals, and doing laundry, all without complaint and while holding down a full-time job. To be sure, Casey’s loving, dedicated nature was likely most apparent in caring for the foster cats he and Rae took in, working with Austin Siamese Rescue. His cats, along with everyone else, are missing him terribly.

With this GoFundMe, we are hoping to raise the money needed by Casey’s Mom for funeral expenses along with a cushion to help her in the coming weeks and months for any issues that may arise in the wake of losing her beloved son.
