In memory of Carolyn Ledohowski
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Amy and the group you’re seeing in the picture is my closest friend group throughout high school. Sadly, group reunions will never be the same as one of our friends, Carolyn Ledohowski (the first person on the left) passed away a couple of days ago, at the age of 19.
Carolyn was the purest soul we have ever encountered in our lives. As you can see from the photo, she was always a joy to have around. She was extremely intelligent, always had random ideas and fun facts up her sleeves. She was such a humorous character as well. During class, she would sometimes make out-of-pocket comments or jokes that made the whole class laugh. However, one of her qualities we all love the most was that she was always unbothered by the world around her. I can recall one time that the school WiFi shut down during a class we had together. The class was in chaos as we were all bored out of our minds. Carolyn quietly sat in her seat, opened Google and played the Dino Run game that shows up only when there’s no internet connection. Whenever there’s a formal event, or just any day that we don’t have to wear school uniforms, she would always show up in full lolita/JK outfits that instantly captures everyone’s eyes, as she was a huge fan of Harajuku-style fashion. I also recall our good times together in choir, hearing her voice amongst the ensemble, it was small but full of effort. These memories are so precious to us, and we are extremely grateful for having her around for a part of our lives.
We are starting this fundraiser for Carolyn’s parents, Mark and Susan Ledohowski, who have devoted their free time outside of their busy work schedules to volunteer at every thinkable school event, during the time their daughter was in high school. As a mad scientist, Mark would come into our class and demonstrate how to utilize dry ice to create frozen grapes and share them with a class of hungry teenagers. Susan is a gentle and loving mother who chaperoned my group during our trip to Whistler for a music festival. At our grad afterparty, both parents stayed up all night to set up at school and volunteered until everyone left at 5 a.m. They are the kindest couple we’ve met and the best parents anyone could ever have. Because of their love for Carolyn, they shared that love with her companions as well. Thus, we would like to furthermore share that love and help them during their hardest times.
All donation proceedings will go to them for their own needs (funeral/memorial expenses, any other costs they might need, etc.). Any amount will always be greatly appreciated, we just hope that more people can show their support for her family.
Thank you for reading this message from our group.
