Our beloved mother, Carmen Reyes, passed away unexpectedly on April 6th, 2026, from complications following surgery. My brothers and I are heartbroken and searching for answers. The doctors have listed her cause of death as undetermined, and the hospital has declined to perform an autopsy. We are therefore raising funds to cover the cost of a private autopsy and to help with funeral expenses.

My mom was one of the strongest and most selfless women I’ve ever known. She dedicated her entire life to raising her four children—Javier, Raul, Santiago, and me, Sara. She constantly reminded us how much she loved us. The last time we spoke, she told me, “I love you kids so much. I want you to know that.” I reassured her, “Of course, Mom, we know. We love you so much too. Please just focus on getting better.”

That was the kind of person my mom was—pure love and kindness. She gave everything she could, even when she had very little. Helping others brought her joy. She was always thinking of her family, always giving, always loving. I’d often tell her, “Mom, please don’t worry about us—you’ve already given us everything we could ever need.”

This sudden loss has shaken us deeply. We just want to understand what happened and honor her memory the way she deserves.
