Dearest friends and family,

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Carlos Mendez - lovingly known as CJ - peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021.

We will be holding his memorial Sunday, September 12th, at 5pm at La Hermosa Church in the Bronx, and would love for you to join us. A small repast will take place after the service. However, due to current safety measures implemented as a part of Covid protocols, the repast will be by invitation only.

Some of you have reached out and asked how you can help us during this time. Know that your kindness and prayers are appreciated as we continue navigating this heartbreaking moment. We are asking (if you are able to) that all funds donated be made in support of the costs associated with Carlos's memorial service, and additional outstanding bills. Any and all amounts are appreciated and will make a difference. It is our hope that in this way, we will be able to carry out all of my Dad's final wishes.
