On the 18th of December, our close family friends encountered a terrible disaster. They were involved in a car crash on their way home between Sanford and Durham, in Chatham County, here in North Carolina, after picking up their daughter, Camila Hernandez Rodriguez, from school. Their daughter, 9 year old Camila, unfortunately did not survive and the mother, Maria Rodriguez Ferrel, is currently hospitalized at UNC Hospital due to her injuries sustained in the accident. I am working alongside the father, Juan Alberto Hernandez, to help them set up this GoFundMe to help them with the impending funeral and hospital costs. We appreciate anything given towards helping a grieving family overcome the financial burden of this tragedy.

El 18 de diciembre, unos amigos cercanos de nuestra familia sufrieron una terrible tragedia. Se vieron involucrados en un accidente automovilístico de camino a casa, entre Sanford y Durham, en el condado de Chatham, aquí en Carolina del Norte, después de recoger a su hija, Camila Hernández Rodríguez, de la escuela.
