In Memory of Bruce Randolph
Donation protected
A couple of years ago, Bruce was diagnosed with Stage-4 lung cancer. As he and his partner, José, battled his illness, the pandemic also hit them hard. José lost his job in the restaurant business, and though this gave him time to take care of Bruce full-time, he himself lacked health insurance or retirement savings and they struggled to pay medical expenses and monthly bills.
Then, this past March, Bruce was admitted to the hospital for acute abdominal pain from cancerous tumors, complicating the already existing lung cancer. He spent some weeks in outpatient hospice in the comfort of his own home before he passed away peacefully on the evening of May 4th at the Christiana Care Hospital & Seasons Hospice in Wilmington, DE.
This GoFundMe campaign is in memory of Bruce to provide financial support for his beloved husband José as José recovers from not only the grief of loss but also the significant financial losses he and Bruce have endured over the last couple of years. Your donation will support José, as he navigates this difficult time, and help him to restabilize by paying his health insurance, household expenses, and remaining medical bills.
Times are tough for everyone and we thank you for your ongoing support from the top to the bottom of our hearts–your help goes a long way!
