In Loving Memory of Brooke Patton & Cooper Elsik

Hi, my name is Emily Winkler, and I’m creating this GoFundMe to honor and support the families of Brooke Patton and Cooper Elsik after an unimaginable loss.

Brooke and her family lived next door to me in Round Rock, and they quickly became like family. Brooke was fun, full of energy, outgoing, and incredibly funny. She had a big personality and a contagious laugh, and she could light up any room she walked into. She made people feel welcome and was always herself—confident, kind, and full of life. Brooke was only 17 years old, graduated high school early and started her career at Soapy Falls Car Wash in Round Rock, and she had so many dreams and plans ahead of her.

Cooper was 18 years old and had already faced immense loss in his life. He lost his mom to COVID, which was incredibly hard on him. Despite everything he went through, Cooper was a loving and caring person who would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He had a big heart and always put others before himself. Cooper also had a career at Soapy Falls car wash in Round Rock.

About nine months ago, Brooke and Cooper—who had been friends—began dating. Brooke brought happiness and light back into Cooper’s life, and together they found comfort, love, and joy.

On Christmas Eve the two were on their way to College Station to Santa's Wonderland, expecting a happy and memorable night together. What was supposed to be a time of joy tragically turned into heartbreak when they were involved in a car accident and passed away together.

This loss has deeply affected everyone who knew and loved them. Brooke and Cooper were young, vibrant, and full of promise, and their bond and love for one another will never be forgotten.

All funds raised through this GoFundMe will be split between both families to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time.

In addition, Soapy Falls Car Wash is planning a fundraiser in Brooke and Cooper's honor, and more information will be shared as it becomes available. Funeral and memorial service details will also be shared once arrangements are finalized.

Any donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping both families in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your love, kindness, and support as we remember Brooke Patton and Cooper Elsik.

With gratitude,
Emily Winkler
