In Memory of Brian Brugger
My cousin Melody’s 45 year old husband of 23 years, Brian Brugger, died suddenly in his sleep September 3rd of a possible heart attack. This was a total shock to everyone. He left behind his wife Melody and four children ages 7 to 18. Brian was an educator with me in Palm Beach County, FL until he moved his family (link)* to Eagle, Colorado eight years ago to work for Eagle County Schools as their Educational Technology Manager. In addition to his passion for all things tech, Brian was a drummer in his church’s praise and worship team (link) , loved to ride his motorcycle , and was a loving husband and devoted father who loved to attend his children’s many activities. They had just dropped off their oldest daughter at college last week for her freshman year; the other three children are home schooled.
Adding a few inspirational words from the Lauren Daigle song Trust in You that Brian thought were important to share in October 2019 on his Twitter feed. This is so hard for everyone who knew this really, really great guy, but Brian’s quoted words seem helpful to me right now, "When You don't move the mountains I'm needing you to move...I will trust in You. Truth is, You know what tomorrow brings. There is not a day ahead You have not seen . So let all things be my life and breath. I want what You want Lord and nothing less.” Miss you man, but we’ll talk tech and soccer someday again real soon.
We are all devastated at this most unexpected loss of such a wonderful husband, father, and friend. The monies raised will help the family with the unexpected immediate expenses and needs. All donations for the Brugger family are very much appreciated. Please pray for this family and share this post.
