In Memory of Brandon M. Norbryhn
Donation protected
On September 23rd, 2024, our family lost our beloved brother, Brandon M. Norbryhn, in a tragic accident. He is survived by his wife Andrella, son Killian (age 6), and stepdaughter Anna (age 10). He also leaves behind a close-knit extended family, including parents Cathie and Charlie, brothers Scott and Rob, sisters Sarah and Shauna, and their spouses and children.
Brandon was commuting to work for the Bureau of Land Management in Riverside from his home in Running Springs early on Monday and tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident on Highway 18. Despite being a responsible and cautious rider, unforeseen circumstances led to the fatal accident.
Brandon had many hobbies and talents. He maintained his pilot’s license and loved to fly airplanes. He was also a very talented woodworker and was building a boat in his spare time. Brandon was very family-oriented and loved spending time with his large family. He loved to play video games on his days off with his son, Killian, and he could always be heard laughing and joking.
Brandon began his career in the fire service as a Paid Call Firefighter at the Running Springs FD while going through college. Being a PCF inspired him to change his focus and transition to working for Forest Service Engine 11. Later, he became a Big Bear Hot Shot, working with his brother Scott and eventually furthering his career in the Forest Service by working at the Helitac at Heaps Peak. Brandon loved the Helitac so much that he eventually proposed to his wife, Andrella, at Heaps Peak Helibase. Finally, he transitioned into working for the Federal Interagency Communication Center as a dispatcher, where he was most recently in the process of transitioning to the position of Assistant Intelligence Coordinator for the Bureau of Land Management.
Brandon spent his career in public service and was always willing to help those in need. If you are able, we ask you to please donate to support his family in their time of need. Any money raised will be used toward his memorial service and to assist his family as they grieve his sudden, unexpected loss. Please also share a memory or happy story with your donation about Brandon to share with his son and family.
