Hi, my name is Shari Owen Brown, and I am a childhood friend of Michelle and Bob. I am fundraising on behalf of Michelle, Ryan and Madison Fleming and their family.

This is all very surreal to write, but Bob tragically lost his life a week ago, on Saturday, September 2nd, while on vacation in the Bahamas. I'll include the newspaper article link... http://eleutheranews.com/?p=24931

There are no words to adequately comfort or convey the immense loss and heartache over Bob's death. He was an amazing man, and many of us had the privilege of seeing what a devoted husband, father and friend he was. To say that he loved his family, was an understatement. Bob and Michelle were high school sweethearts and celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this year. Their greatest joy in life is their children, Ryan and Madison.

Bob retired in 2022 as a Captain from the Ventura County Sheriff's Department after 32 years of service. After retiring, Bob and Michelle moved to Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee and were enjoying retirement to the fullest.

Many have asked what they can do, so this fund is to help the family ship his body home if it is recovered, and also to help Michelle move back home to Moorpark, where she can be surrounded by so many who love her.
