Blakely Reese Mayhew, age 23, passed away tragically early Sunday morning, 1/18/2026, when a driver on i-485 struck her while going back to her car. Blakely was a very talented hair stylist at Salon 250 on Main Street in Mooresville and was so very excited to begin her career only a few years ago; her goal in life was to be successful in furnishing a lifestyle for her son, Kaiser, as a single mother. Kaiser is only 6 years old and was a twin (Kaiser's little brother passed away at 26 weeks); right now he is a kindergarten student at South Elementary School in Mooresville. It would be an understatement to say that Kaiser was her entire world! Because of this unexpected and tragic incident, this "Go Fund Me" has been set up by the family in loving memory of Blakely to begin a college fund for Kaiser. Kaiser will never know just how much his mother loved him by loosing her at such a young age.
