Help Support Binh's Family #MentalHealthAwareness

Hello, my name is Hieu Quang. I would like to share my brother’s story below.
My older brother, Binh, had always brought laughter into our lives. Growing up, he was always my protector. He had an ecstatic energy within him that uplifted and brightened every room that he entered. People naturally gravitated towards his positive attitude.
Binh was a caring and compassionate Father, Husband, a Son, an Uncle, a Brother, and a wonderful Friend to many. We can all agree that he brought nothing but happiness into everyone’s lives. His 3 year-old daughter, Sophia, and he made a beautiful duo—together, they never failed to bring a smile to our faces.
Binh loved everyone around him and always showed up for people. Unfortunately, he never displayed any of his pain. The internal pain that he was enduring reigned darkness over him that many of us weren't able to see from the outside. He was battling demons inside of him which eventually became all too overwhelming for him to handle. He went through his struggle alone to avoid being a burden to anyone else.
On July 7th 2022, Binh committed suicide by driving off the hills of Mount Hamilton. He had just turned 37 years old. Miraculously, we found his body five days later in a ditch. We would like to pay gratitude to everyone that helped in our search party, especially the San Jose Firefighters, Santa Clara County Sheriffs, and Deputies. Thank you for your time and efforts.
We are currently grieving, but we feel immensely thankful to have finally found the closure that we needed. We are struggling to come to terms with what has happened, and words cannot begin to express the tremendous loss and sadness that our family is going through at the moment. My family and I are incredibly grateful for your love and support during this time as we try to heal from this situation.
Beyond this, I hope we are reminded by Binh’s story and let it shine light in our days ahead.
Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help us during this time. Please know that your kindness is much appreciated as we navigate through this heartbreaking news. I kindly ask, if you are able to, to donate funds towards his funeral service. I thank you with all my heart and soul.
With Love and Gratitude,
The Quang Family
