In Memory of Bill Harper

Hi, my name is Carrie Baker and I am a co-worker/family friends with Barb and Misty. I have known them both for 10 years and they have become family over the years. On Monday, Bill Harper passed away unexpectedly. Bill was Barb’s husband of 40 years and Misty’s dad. It has been a whirlwind the last week for them and they need our help. If anyone knows Barb, you know she is not going to ask for help so we are just going to give it to her because we know she will need it.

Last week, Bill had a heart attack. He had surgery to place a pump and stints on Friday for three blocked arteries and was also put on a ventilator. They discovered his kidneys were shutting down and started him on dialysis. Over the weekend, he was stable and things were looking up. They were able to reduce the ventilator from 100%, to 65%, to 30% by Sunday afternoon. The heart pump was turned down and we doing more work. He was fighting. Sunday night, things took a turn and Monday morning, he gave up his fight. He tried to hold on but couldn’t.

If you can find it in your heart to help the Harper family, it is very much appreciated. So many have asked if she needs anything and this is what would help the most.
