This includes ongoing support for Doressa Zimbiri, the Malawian namesake of his daughter; a widows’ lending and cooperative group working to generate income through small business and farming; and the implementation of irrigation farming techniques that significantly improve yields in the face of increasing climate instability by his dear friend, Chimwemwe Mbale.

Malawi consistently ranks among the poorest countries in the world, with over 70% of its population engaged in subsistence agriculture. The vast majority rely on what they can grow to feed their families, and widows and female-headed households are particularly vulnerable to hunger and poverty. Educational access is limited, and even small investments in school fees, seeds, or tools can make a transformative difference.

Arch’s generosity extended far beyond his own community.
