GCA Seniors/former teammates Noah Bruhin and Ben Francisco have started this Go Fund me to bring awareness to childhood cancer and raise money in memory of “Big E” for The Dream connection.
What started out as a football injury to his left knee at the end of Oct. 2014, turned into a cancer diagnosis on Dec. 1st, 2014. Ethan Parsley had a very rare form of bone cancer called Metastatic Ewing Sarcoma. He fought courageously for 12 months with a smile on his face and he never lost his faith. Ethan passed away on Dec. 16, 2015. The Dream connection is a local organization that made his dreams come true.
The Dream Connection, established in 1985, is a non profit organization. Their goal is to accept and raise charitable contributions exclusively for fulfilling once in a lifetime dreams. These dreams are for children in the east TN area between the ages of 3 and 18, with life threatening or chronically debilitating illnesses. Since all of their board members are volunteers, they are dedicate 100% of contributions to fulfilling the dreams of the children they serve. The Dream Connection is special because Ethan, was granted a dream when he was diagnosed with cancer. His dream captains made sure that every detail was covered and that it was an amazing experience for him and his younger brother, Logan.
Currently they are working on 43 dreams for children fighting unimaginable challenges. These dreams include everything from meeting celebrities to shopping sprees to going on much needed vacations. Dream connection could really use your help. If you would like to know more about how you can help make dreams come true for these children, go to dreamconnection.org or you can make a donation by clicking the link. All donations will be sent directly to the Dream Connection in Ethan’s memory. #EthanStrong #FindACure
