With a heavy heart I am writing this. My mother Bernice was brutally murdered on April 7, 2021 in Oakland, CA. Bernice was a strong woman. She went through several hurdles in life and yet  lived everyday with a smile.  I heard that sometimes people with the biggest smile are struggling the most; that was my mother. Those who knew my mother described her as humbled, kind, loving, forgiveful and more. My family is in such disbelief and heartbroken by this devastating news . No family is ever prepared to go through these situations. We are asking for support with donations. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Con el corazón apesadumbrado estoy escribiendo esto. Mi madre Bernice fue brutalmente asesinada el 7 de abril de 2021 en Oakland, CA. Bernice era una mujer fuerte. Pasó por varios obstáculos en la vida y, sin embargo, vivió todos los días con una sonrisa. Escuché que a veces las personas con la sonrisa más grande son las que más luchan; esa era mi madre.
