- It hurts me to even begin writing this. My best friend of over a decade and the Godmother of my kids lost her husband today. They had just celebrated their 4 years together a week ago. These two have been inseparable since the day they met. Haley and Ben love each other immensely through every single struggle. Ben was someone who brought light to Haley's world. He was and still is an amazing husband and son. While receiving the news today, my best friend was heartbroken. I have heard Haley cry, but this time it was different. While she just learned her husband passed away, she was still being stronger than ever, dealing with the police and the lawyer. It wasn't until she called me again, telling me they just returned his ring to her, that she broke. The pain knocked the wind out of me. Ben is the definition of a truly amazing man. He was funny, smart, and kind. I remember him playing with my kids when Haley and Ben came to visit. Oh man, my daughters were attached to his hip the whole entire time. Ben will always have a special place in my heart. I know Haley and Ben will reunite in every lifetime before and after.
