Jennifer “Becky” Hocutt Jones, 50, of Jackson, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Becky was a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant who spent many years serving as a compassionate home nurse, providing care and comfort to those in need with a tender heart and gentle spirit.

Becky is survived by her three beloved children, Tristan Jones, Brooke Howard (Jeremiah Barbar), and Zoe Howard (Kaleb Brewer), and her 9 cherished grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life. She is also survived by her loving sisters: Vanessa (Daniel) Jones of Brandon, MS, Monica Hocutt of Grenada, MS, and C.C. (Dee) Holmes of Lucedale, MS; along with 10 nieces and nephews, and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Liz Hocutt of Grenada, her dear grandmother Elizabeth “Sug” Tedford of Grenada, her brother John “Bubba” Hocutt Jr. of Grenada, and her nephew Josh Melton of Moss Point, MS.

Becky will be remembered for her warm and giving nature, her infectious laugh, and her unwavering love for her family. She had a heart for helping others and found deep purpose in caring for her patients. She brought light into every room with her sense of humor and her ability to make others feel seen and loved.

She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren, whether it was sharing a meal, casting a fishing line, or enjoying the peaceful breeze at the beach—her favorite escape. Becky had a special gift for making people feel at home, and her love, strength, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her legacy of love, resilience, and faith will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched.
