This week, we were devastated to lose our cat, Basil. We'd had him for almost 10 years, and he wasn't just part of our family. He was our family.

Basil became a huge part of my YouTube channel, with most viewers just tuning in to see him. I'm under no illusion that people were there to get a glimpse of him and couldn't care less about what I had to say. And that's fair.

In fact, when I filmed A Week On Subway for Channel 5, the producer specifically asked for plenty of footage of him to include. They knew who the star was.

It's been an incredibly hard week. But, we've had a decade of loving our sweet little Basil, and we're so grateful that he loved us too. And that wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Stray Cat Rescue, the charity we adopted him from.
