On behalf of Ashleigh and Zach, and in memory of Baby Evan:

Ashleigh and Zach were excited to welcome their second son, Evan William Jo “Little Bear” to their family. Evan was born on May 21st, 2023. After a shocking entrance into the world, Evan was diagnosed with Pierre Robin Sequence and a cleft palate, subsequently having to be hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Ashleigh, Zach, and 2-year-old brother Jack welcomed Evan home on July 4th after spending the first 45 days of his life in the NICU and going through surgery. His parents took Evan to appointment after appointment in the months following his discharge, and were excited to see him growing and happy at home. Things were going well and a second surgery was planned for next month.

Evan went to bed Tuesday night, 9/19/23, and did not wake up. Evan tragically and unexpectedly passed away in the middle of the night. Evan was about to turn four months old. He was so incredibly loved by his parents, big brother, grandparents, cousins, uncles, family friends, and coworkers.

Having used many resources and time off for maternity leave, FMLA, bills from an unexpected NICU stay, appointments, and now arrangements for a funeral service, things are adding up. Ashleigh and Zach are appreciative of any donations to help ease the amassing financial burden they have had to deal with and now continue to endure.
