Funeral Costs for Baby Emiliano

On Friday, October 11th, 2024, Angelica and Raul Moreno attended a prenatal check-up that was supposed to be routine, but the heartbeat that every parent expects to hear could not be heard. Angelica was induced, and after a difficult and very long labor with complications, Emiliano Sebastian Moreno was born a sleeping angel on Saturday, October 12th, 2024. His parents and older siblings, Scarlett, Savanna, and William, are now living in a world turned upside down with profound grief, shock, and unanswered questions.

As a longtime school teacher, Mrs. Moreno has impacted hundreds of students. As a parent to one of her former students myself, I've witnessed firsthand the overwhelming love and adoration her students have for her, and it only takes a few minutes in her presence to understand why. Teachers make up a huge part of the village it takes to raise a child, but right now, this beautiful teacher is the one in need of a village.

It goes without saying that the entire family is emotionally, mentally, and physically drained. For those reasons, I am reaching out to our generous community asking for financial and spiritual support for this deserving family. Any contribution would be deeply appreciated and would help offset the costs of baby Emiliano's funeral and any expenses that arise thereafter so that Angelica and Raul can focus solely on healing without the concerns of financial burdens.

I would also like to ask for prayers. Pray especially for the mending of shattered hearts, for peace which passes all understanding, for physical postpartum healing, and pray for closure where answers cannot be found. Pray also for strength for Scarlett, Savanna, William, and her classroom children. Angelica's heart is connected to all of them, and it deeply upsets her that her students will be hurting for her and the baby they, too, were so excited to meet. That is a heavy burden to bear and increases the magnitude of this loss.
