In Memory of Ava Berney

On Saturday May 25 , Erika and Shane got the worst news any parent can receive . Their daughter Ava had passed away suddenly in Edmonton AB. Their is no words to describe the pain and sadness they are feeling right now . Ava leaves behind Shane her father , Erika her step mom , and her siblings Effie and Felix . While they navigate the next steps and how to move forward from such a profound loss , this was created to help support the Berney family through this extremely difficult time . Our sweet angel Ava passed away suddenly and peacefully on May 25, 2024. There are no words to describe a loss of your child . Ava turned 20 this month and was excited to plan her future . Ava was an incredible young woman who was loving, caring, funny, compassionate, and beyond kind with nothing but love to give and only wanting love in return. She loved music, fashion, poetry and most of all her friends and family. She was the best big sister in the world to Felix and Effie, they loved her so much and looked up to her. We believe Ava touched the lives of everyone she met with her beauty and kindness. We ask that everyone celebrates her life as we do now and honour the beauty and light she brought to this world. We also ask that every parent holds their children close, taking no moments for granted. We thank everyone for all of the love and support during this trying time.
