On November 28, 2025, we lost Artem Kabannik, a remarkable husband, father, and friend, after a long and difficult battle with brain cancer. His wife and three sons - one adult and two still very young - now face a future forever changed.

Artem was many things:

a devoted husband, a deeply caring father, a gifted geophysicist with dozens of published patents, a musician who once played in a rock band, and an explorer at heart. Whether hiking remote trails or snowboarding deep in the mountains, nature is where Artem felt most alive.

But those who knew him best will remember something even greater: his extraordinary ability to connect with people - especially children. He had a calm, patient presence and a warm, disarming smile that made kids of any age feel instantly at ease. His kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path.

The loss of Artem has created not only profound grief but also significant challenges for his family as they navigate life without him. This fund is being created to help support his wife and their two young sons with immediate expenses and to provide stability during this heartbreaking transition.
