On the night of July 4th my mother took her final breath and passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was found laying in bed on the morning of July 5th by her boyfriend. We’re not 100% sure of how she died just yet but so far we’ve been told it was most likely from a heart attack.

My mother was a beautiful person. She was the kindest and most thoughtful person I’ve ever met. Me and my mama went through so much together as she raised me. There were many times where we struggled financially and dealt with abusive partners together. She wasn’t perfect but she tried her absolute best and did a damn great job of it. As I got older she became my best friend and was sometimes the only person I would talk to the entire day. Unfortunately 2 years a go I had to move in with my grandparents to start online school and I slowly got to see my mom less and less. She lost her job, had no where to stay, and had to take care of 4-5 dogs at a time. She was finally getting back on her feet so we planned to find a place to live together and even though I don’t make much money I was willing to spend every paycheck on bills to be with her again. She passed away before we could live together again and it breaks my heart that we weren’t able to make memories with each other. My mom was just the best to me. She had me at such a young age and sacrificed everything for me. There were so many nights where I would still go lay down with my mama even at the age of 17 and just sleep with her. She was the light of my life and the motivation for everything I was doing. It’s going to be so hard to live without her. I love her more than anything in this world and I don’t know how I’m going to continue without her. I’m going to take it one step at a time.

I don’t like asking for money but we’re having a hard time handling all of the expenses. We need support for all of the expenses of taking care of the body, for the Celebration of Life, and for taking care of her family. Even if we just raise 1$ we’d be so thankful.
