In Memory of Anthony Montes
Donation protected
On January 31st, 2025, Anthony (or Jose, Joe, Joe Red, Leroy, Tony, and many more nicknames we all gave him) Montes passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones after fighting so hard for three months to stay with us. He was a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandpa, and a friend to so many, and he was and will continue to be loved so much by everyone who knew him.
I don't think any of us can even begin to imagine how life can be the same without Anthony and I think that's because we know that it won't. If you look around, I think it's possible to find him anywhere--especially in the million movies he used to quote and all the songs he used to listen to (on his Walkman sometimes). Anthony was as infectious as his laughter and I think anyone who knew him knew that he loved to laugh and he loved to make other people laugh.
His humor was something he passed on to his six kids--Jazmine, Alfred, Mariah, Bri, Angie, and Anthony--and it is something that his older siblings--Roni, Corkey, Sandy, and Lilly--will carry on in his honor. Anthony adored his grandkids--Camila, Eliana, Julian, and baby Alina (or Jojo Red) and we hope they look back on their memories with their Grandpa Joe and cherish them as much as we do. It is something that I hope we all can do for him because Anthony's jokes and laughter have given us some of the best memories we have of him. I don't think words could ever express how much we are going to miss him and how much we love him. Although he is gone, I hope he can still feel how much we love him because there is never going to be anyone like him again.
We all want to give Anthony the memorial he deserves so we can honor him and say our last goodbyes. Any donations would be appreciated and I can't say how much our family would appreciate it. Thank you for your support during this extremely difficult time of our lives.
