On Friday, September 26, 2025, the Stackhouse family was devastated to lose an amazing daughter, mom, sister, cousin, niece, aunt and friend, when Angie Lynn Stackhouse passed suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 46 years. Angie leaves behind her two children, River (21) and Evan (17), who must now navigate through life without their biggest supporter and cheerleader. Our family is prepared to help River and Evan as much as possible, but we are also hoping that the community of Viroqua that Angie loved, will also rally around these two to help provide them with financial and emotional support. Any funds collected will go toward living expenses and funeral costs.
If you would like to send a card or note of encouragement to River and Evan, please feel free to mail them to: Attn: Shawn Stackhouse, PO Box 863, West Salem, WI 54669.
We love you, Angie. And will miss you so much.
Angie Lynn Stackhouse passed away unexpectedly by her Mom's side at Emplify Health in La Crosse, Wisconsin on September 26, 2025. She was born to Irvin and Linda Stackhouse in Boscobel, Wisconsin on April 5, 1979.
Angie graduated from Cornerstone Christian Academy in 1998. Angie joined the workforce working in retail for many years at The Cheese Corner and Viroqua Food Cooperative. Her jobs were much more than a title to her as she enjoyed the regular interactions with the Viroqua community. She never passed up an opportunity to make someone's day better with an offering of kindness and comfort. Her motherhood journey started in 2004 and her family was completed in 2008. River and Evan are the loves of her life. She made sure every holiday and event was special to them, over-excelling in her amazing themed homemade birthday cakes and school treats. Her priority in life was supporting them in all their interests and dreams. Angie was creative and artistic and enjoyed making jewelry, painting and traveling whenever she could. A highlight in her life was a trip to Europe in 2018.
She is survived by her children River and Evan Stackhouse-Chaumley, her Mother Linda Stackhouse, and her Brother Michael Stackhouse (Shawn). Nieces and nephew, Makenzie (Taylor) Henry. Madison Stackhouse, Slade Stackhouse and Tempest McGregor as well her Great Nephew and Niece, Woods and Nellie Henry. She will be sadly missed by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins as well as numerous friends and work families.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Dale and Phyllis Stackhouse and Stanley and Bonita Dalton; Father, Irvin Stackhouse; Brother, Kevin Stackhouse; Uncle David Dalton and Cousins Nicky and Nathan Walmer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials or other gestures of support may be directed to her children.
