Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
(May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be with you.)
With deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved sister, Analise (Amiira) Ticzon on the morning of February 22, 2021.
Analise was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, wife, mother, and friend. Although she was living in Dubai these past 7 years, she always knew what was happening with the family in Toronto, US, and Philippines. She held family very close to her heart. Analise also had an immense passion to write, which led her to be an amazing lyricist/poet. She loved to display it through her performances at spoken word poetry events. Her poems carried profound meanings that brought awareness to the injustices around the world, especially towards women and the poor. Whether you knew Analise your whole life or just met her in passing, her personality would have undoubtedly left an impact on your life.
Analise excelled in Motherhood. Without fail, she strived to be the best mother to her 15 year old daughter, Naeema. Naeema was Analise’s world and they were inseparable. She did her best to provide Naeema with the tools and resources to be successful in this life and the hereafter.
Analise was a revert who accepted Islam in 2000. Islam truly guided her life in so many positive ways. With such a big heart she was someone who would constantly strive to help others. She was loved by the muslim community, involved, and stayed connected with her sisters in Islam.
Analise was sending sadaqa (donation) boxes and was helping feed the poor in Mindanao, Philippines. With Ramadan (The Holy Month) fast approaching, Analise would have prepared sadaqa (a donation) to give during Ramadan (The Holy Month). She would always stress on the importance of giving zakat (charity).
In her honor, we would like to continue her cause, by supporting a masjid (place of worship) in Mindanao with its renovations and provide iftar (food for breaking fast) during the month of Ramadan (The Holy Month) to the congregation.
While monetary contributions in any amount are immensely appreciated, we understand that everyone may not be in a position to contribute right now. Another way you can help is by simply sharing this campaign on your social media pages.
Again, we are truly grateful for anything you can contribute.
Please keep Analise (Amiira) and her family in your dua (prayers).
