In Memory of Ami
Dear Friends and Family,
It is with a heavy heart that we share the tragic news of the passing of Ami, one of the most genuine people I have had the privilege to know.
Sadly over the last couple of years Ami has struggled with illness and most recently his health had deteriorated. Unfortunately on the 11th of January Ami passed away and left us all heartbroken. Ami was an amazing person who would always bring a smile to those he would meet, he had an infectious smile and a great sense of humour. He was kind, honest, generous, selfless and would always put others first. Even over the last years where he has struggled with his health he dedicated his time to helping those in society most at need. He gave his time and volunteered with Midland Langar Seva Society in Coventry and also did Seva at the Gurdwara.
The loss of Ami has impacted so many of his friends and family especially his two children Arjan and Anaya. He will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten, whoever had the privilege to meet Ami will always remember him with fond memories. He would always make you laugh and never take anything to serious but this is what made him get along with anyone he would meet. It was a honour to have known him and call him my bro and if there is one thing we can take from him it is to be kind and endeavour to make other people happy. This is what made Ami special and we will all cherish the memories we have of him.
In honour of Ami’s memory we ask for your support in donating towards Midland Langar Seva Society. This was a charity that Ami dedicated a lot of his time to and ment a great deal to him. We know that Ami would want to be able to continue to help those less fortunate and believe raising awareness of this charity would be a fitting tribute to honour his memory. So we ask that if you can donate no matter how big or small it will all make a difference. Thank you in advance for all your kind donations and may Ami rest in eternal peace.
Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS) is a charitable organisation that provides essential support to those facing hardship across the UK and internationally. The charity was inspired by the Sikh principle of “Langar,” which refers to a community kitchen that serves free meals to anyone, regardless of their social status, race, religion, or background.
The organisation’s mission is rooted in the Sikh ethos of selfless service and inclusivity. MLSS operates on the belief that everyone deserves access to basic necessities, such as food and shelter. The charity’s efforts focus on providing hot meals to vulnerable populations, including the homeless, individuals in schools and safe houses, and those living on the poverty line. This service is extended to all without prejudice, reflecting the inclusive nature of the Sikh faith.
