In memory of Amber Nicole
This week, we lost our dear friend Amber Nicole after a courageous battle with brain injuries and a seizure disorder. Amber fought hard for many years, and touched so many lives with her perseverance and strength throughout.
She leaves behind her beloved Kevin and their three boys Joshua (10), Connor (6) and Riley (10). Amber loved her boys with her whole heart. She was their cheerleader, behind the scene coach in all of their sports and constantly encouraged their intellectual development. She was their patient teacher, silly friend, and their rock. She was such an amazing mom.
Amber was athletic from day one. She found such great joy in playing with her boys, hockey, soccer, powerlifting and being in nature. She was a self-described tomboy and used sarcasm as a second language; often seen wearing a backwards ball cap. Amber was an amazingly gifted musician who taught herself many instruments, starting with her guitar. She never passed up the opportunity to play her guitar by a campfire or play the piano for her loved ones. Playing music was Amber's happy place. Amber also loved learning and found comfort in writing. She enjoyed podcasts and books, and would provide anyone with curated recommendations if asked. Amber was a passionate advocate for women in abusive situations, mental health and people suffering from brain injuries. As a published author, she openly shared her story with others, in a chapter outlining part of her struggle.
Amber was kind and generous to those in her life. She rarely passed up the opportunity to spend time with those she loved. We will all miss her bright personality, infectious smile and her ease in conversations.
Though we all lost a friend, Amber's sons Joshua and Connor lost their mom. We have set up this fund to raise money to go toward their future education. Joshua and Connor are beautifully intelligent and Amber delighted in their personalities. She would be so proud of any education the boys choose in the future. Funds will be kept in trust by Amber's brother Jeffrey Mlotschek.
We are so grateful for your generous donations toward Joshua and Connor's future education after the unexpected loss of their mom. We appreciate those of you that have shared this link. Your generosity means more to us than you will ever know.
