In Memory of Alyssa: Support Her Loved Ones

To know Alyssa was to love her. Diagnosed with Lupus at just 10 years old, she battled the disease for 19 years. Watching her face so many challenges with a smile on her face made me truly understand the kind of person she was. She was the strongest person I’ve ever known. Throughout her medical struggles, she maintained a positive attitude and always did her best to live life fully including countless of surgeries year after year. She graduated from CBU in 2023 with her Bachelors Degree despite it all. She was currently in her second semester of nursing school to become a licensed vocational nurse. In December 2024, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. She fought as long as she could, but ultimately, God called her home. Aly passed away on February 7, 2025.
