She Was Taken From Us Too Soon
On Monday September 13th, our caring and beautiful niece, Alisha Bressan, passed away unexpectedly
from sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 39, only days away from celebrating her 10th wedding
anniversary with her husband, Jean-Paul. We are asking for your help in raising funds for Alisha’s
memorial and final expenses. It is our hope that this campaign will help ease the financial burden that
this unfortunate tragedy has placed on Jean-Paul and his two young sons Everett, aged 7 and Eddison,
aged 5.
Alisha was the shining light of our family. She was a devoted wife to Jean-Paul and a loving mother to
her two sons. She maintained a positive outlook on life and her warm-spirited personality instantly
touched everyone she met. Alisha possessed a wealth of knowledge on many subjects and offered her
expertise freely to her community. Everything she undertook she did with love and a keen desire to
leave the world better than she found it.
In October 2020, Jean-Paul, Alisha, and the boys moved to their dream home in Sundridge, Ontario
where they began a new life as independent homesteaders. Alisha was the most fervent contributor
raising chickens and rabbits, while nurturing a lush garden of vegetables and flowers. She was an
exceptional gourmet, who strove to create unique delicacies, all of which brought so much joy to her
family and friends.
A passionate advocate for recycling and reducing our carbon footprint on this planet, Alisha, a true
believer, also championed many causes for injustice and inequality, fearlessly marching alone in
Nobleton to raise awareness for the Black Lives Matter movement. Alisha knew that her example would help manifest the world she dreamt of creating.
We all lost a part of ourselves when we lost her. Though Alisha is gone, we must honour her by carrying
on her legacy of fostering a kinder, more humane world where we all work together to protect the
environment, treat others with compassion, and respect the beauty and splendour of our natural world.
