Donation protected
In honor of the late Alicia Ann Smith Kaatz, the family asks in lieu of flowers for your consideration to donate towards help with funeral expenses. Anything is appreciated.
On July 10, 2024, Alicia was diagnosed with stage 4 lung and bone cancer. She chose to spend her days at home with family and friends and on Sunday, August 11, 2024, passed away at the age of 59 in Sealy, Texas.
Alicia was born on February 17, 1965 in Houston, Texas to Patricia (Adamson) Teague and William Smith. She attended Sealy schools where she lived for the majority of her life. She was a stay-at-home mom to her 4 children and loved spending time with family and friends. Throughout her life, she enjoyed participating in bowling leagues, listening to music, and watching her favorite sports teams – especially the ones her children and grandchildren played for.
Her greatest joy in life was her family and was happiest when she was surrounded by them. She loved family get-togethers and holidays when everyone was just laughing, playing games and enjoying each other’s company.
She is survived by her loving husband, Chris Kaatz; her mother Patricia Teague (and husband Thomas); her 2 sons Brett Carter (and wife Brittany) and Wesley Goebel (and wife Katie), and twin daughters Julie Murray (and husband Kyle) and Jennifer Seabrook (and husband Pete); her 8 grandchildren Case and Crue Carter, Carter and Abbie Goebel, Cheyanne and Judd Murray, and Teddy and Arthur Seabrook; her 2 brothers Billy Smith (and wife Tammy) and Joe Smith (and wife Jennifer); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Margie Adamson and uncle, Johnny Adamson.
