In memory of Alexis

Alexis Landeros was tragically taken from us on Monday, November 21, 2016. Alexis just graduated from high school in June and worked hard throughout her schooling for her bright future. This was cut way too short and all who knew her are grieving.
Alexis loved writing and music. She planned on pursuing a musical education.
After a sudden and tragic loss, no family should have such a financial burden. Alexis' family is struggling to cover her funeral expenses. Please help if you can. Alexis' older sister has been planning her funeral, a task no sibling should have to do for their 18 year old sister. I can't imagine an individual who deserves it more.
Below is a poem she wrote in 6th grade, only 12 years old, and tells how much Alexis understood the change she wanted to make in the world.
I was her English and history teacher in 6th grade and she always stayed in contact with me. She sot me out to do volunteer hours at my school, to find part time employment, and just to say hi. She was a student that always made me proud and I looked forward to her making a difference.
