In Memory of Alexander Marion: Brother & Friend

This fundraiser is organized by the Phi Gamma Delta “FIJI” Fraternity, Nu Beta Chapter.
Alex Marion was an upcoming sophomore and treasured FIJI brother at Rutgers University. He passed away suddenly on Sunday August 16, 2020 after a valiant battle against heart disease. Alex was nothing short of a true gentleman who embodied someone who we were proud to call a brother.
During Alex’s first year at Rutgers University, he fought for his life against various medical obstacles. Returning from this in the spring gave everyone a second chance to grow with him. Despite everything he went through, you never found him with a frown on his face. He loved being the center of the room and never hesitated to speak his mind or lend a helping hand. All of us will treasure the moments we had with him making jokes or simply laughing with us as a family.
We wish to follow Alex’s example as a kind hearted and selfless man determined to help others in need. All donations will be going towards the American Heart Association as well as the Lebanese Red Cross, which was chosen by Alex as the first organization he wished to raise money for upon being elected philanthropy chairman. We thank you all for your help.
In his short time, Alex had grown to become a close friend, brother, and role model to many. He brightened the lives of all those around him, and it was devastating to lose him so soon. We will always remember him for his loving nature, charisma, and the companionship he provided.
