In Memory of AJ Sobansky (Zara)

My name is Zoren Sobansky, and AJ was my older sister.

On Friday, June 6, she was killed in an act of violence that has left our family, friends and community in shock. She was 17 and had just finished her sophomore year at Millard North High School.

AJ (Zara) was smart, talented, and completely herself. She was active in show choir, forensics, poetry, and theater—most recently performing in Mean Girls. Whether on stage or just with her friends, AJ brought joy, honesty, and heart to everything she did.

We miss her so much.
