Adam’s greatest loves were his ideas, his work, and our two children. As we face a very private and heartbreaking moment, many people who cared about him have asked how they can help.
This fundraiser is a way to honour Adam’s legacy — to continue the work he poured his heart into, and to support our children’s education, just as he wanted.
Adam dedicated his life to helping young people learn, create, and understand that the complex technology we use every day can be made simple when it is explained clearly. With your support, we want to keep that spirit alive and ensure that his children — and yours, wherever they may be — grow up with the opportunity to fully understand technology.
There are two ideas, inspired by Richard Feynman, that meant a great deal to Adam and I, and that I hope you share with your own children:
“Study what interests you the most, in the most undisciplined, irreverent, and original way.”
and remind them that:
“There are no superhumans in this world — only people who dedicate themselves to learning what they love,”
These words capture how Adam lived: curious, original, generous with his knowledge, and always learning, until the end.
Thank you for helping us honour Adam in the way he would have wanted — by helping carry forward the future he hoped every child could have, one where they understand technology, and not fear it.
The money raised will be used for education and be part of a new Foundation called "No Black Boxes", just as he would have wanted.
