In memory of Abran D’Almeida

Hello everyone, my name is Alice Layanampo Bomboma. I am organizing this Gofundme to help my friend Didi Bahomda and her husband Romeo during a really difficult time in their lives. I would like to thank you for taking a moment to read their story. Didi's mother-in-law,

Abran D'almeida, came to visit them (her husband and her little daughter) in December 2022.

She was so happy when she met her granddaughter for the first time. She was very

pleasant, humble, and always smiling. Both grandma and granddaughter have been inseparable since then. On Saturday,

April 22nd, around 4 pm, they were hanging out in the living room and joking with one another when Abran started gasping and dropped to the ground. They called 911, and when they were putting her in the ambulance, she had a cardiac arrest so they started CPR

while they were rushing her to the hospital. The hospital team did their best to save her, but despite her fight, she didn’t make it. Imaging revealed a pulmonary embolism, and she passed away in the middle of the night. This came as a shock for the family

and friends as she was incredibly vibrant and only 58 years young. Imagine one minute laughing and joking with Mom, and the next minute, she is gone. While devastated by the loss of their mother, this family still has to deal with the logistics of sending

her body back home to be laid to rest. The estimated cost just to ship the body to Togo, West Africa is $15,000. I am fundraising to plead for any financial assistance you might be able to provide to help this family. We would be extremely grateful for any
