It is with a heart full of sorrow and a deep sense of loss that I share the news of my dad's unexpected passing on Sunday night, March 23rd, at the age of 66. He was the pillar that held our family together, a shining example of selflessness and kindness. His three-decade-long career at Franz Bakery was a testament to his tireless work ethic, delivering bread to stores so families could eat. He was a beloved figure in our community, and everyone, from people to animals, adored him. Whenever someone needed his help, he was always there, never hesitating to lend a hand. He was the rock of our family, and his passing has left us feeling lost and broken. My dad had a special bond with his five-year-old grandson, and the two were inseparable. They spent countless hours playing, laughing, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. As we navigate this difficult time, we are turning to our community for support. This GoFundMe campaign will help us cover funeral arrangements and expenses, with any remaining funds going towards supporting our mother, who has always been there for others, providing meals, quilts, and endless love. We are grateful for any contribution, big or small, and kindly ask that you share this campaign with your network. Your prayers and support mean the world to us during this challenging time. Services will be held at Deschutes Memorial Gardens 63875 North Highway 97 Bend, Oregon 97703 at 2pm Saturday April 12, 2025. There will be a viewing on Thursday April 10th, 2025 from 9am-6pm if you’d like to pay respects and say goodbye. If you want to donate but don’t want to donate on our GoFundMe then please get ahold of Bruce’s daughter Christen for other options. Thank you.
