One of our very best students' family has been struggling with homelessness.  This student came from Brazil just this year, but has already learned the language and is excelling in all of her courses.  She has earned the respect of each of her teachers and our faculty.  Today, she tragically lost her father.  Our goal is to help situate this family in a safe environment, help them deal with their loss, and assist with burial services/funeral costs.  

Please help us help them.

Update:  To expedite the process of getting the funds to the family, we are happy to report that our team leader and Principal, Mrs. Marie Caceres, has purchased a cashier's check in the total amount of donations collected (after GoFundMe's transaction fees) and the check is now in the hands of the family.  The funds will then be withdrawn from GoFundMe to replenish the amount taken from Mrs. Caceres' personal account.  This was done so that the family could have and use the funds sooner, as they are in need.  The matriarch of the family said she has no words for how grateful she is to everyone who donated and, while her family is still grieving, it helps them to know they are not alone.
