The beach was Rebecca's happy place. If you asked her "which beach should we go to," it would usually be somewhere on Singer Island. Just ask her BFF Natalie, she will concur.

Rebecca and Jeff honeymooned in the Bahamas, at the beach. And as for her family vacations, whether it was the Florida Keys, the Outer Banks, Maine, Prince Edward Island or even England, they all managed to have an ocean view.

Rebecca also loved sea turtles. They represent strength, patience and wisdom. You can find little sea turtles around her home, be it a charm on a necklace or a little figurine on the shelf.

Shortly after our mom passed, we took an overnight getaway to Singer Island (her favorite beach spot). There we found these protected turtle nests.

It was profound to see these baby turtles had others protecting them as we no longer had our mom to "protect" us. It was a reminder of all of the other people in our lives looking out for us.

MacArthur Beach State Park holds a special place in our family's heart and we found it fitting to honor Rebecca by creating this fundraiser to preserve the beaches and creatures she loved. They brought her so much joy and we hope they will bring joy to many others in generations to come.
