The San Diego Mission Bay Resort has a new guardian angel looking over our family.  Maria Rios was called home to Heaven on Saturday, January 30 after a life dedicated to the service of others.  Maria started her career with our resort on February 10, 1977 and for 44 wonderful years made life better for all of us every day.  She has been the heart and soul of our housekeeping team longer than some of us have been alive.  Her caring approach to everything she did brought joy to our Guests and to every member of our resort family.  You did not need to work in the housekeeping department to be impacted by the love and joy that Maria brought to us every day.  Her impact on our resort cannot be measured nor expressed in any words and her loss is unimaginable.

 

We are asking for you to donate and help her family during their time of loss.  The complications of the COVID pandemic make the death of a family member more complicated and more expensive than during normal times.  Whatever you can donate will help us thank her family for sharing Maria with our resort and will show them how much she impacted all of us.  We are all lucky to have had the opportunity to have her in our lives for as long as we did.  Heaven certainly has a new angel.
