In Loving Memory of Valden “Skip” Leslie
Valden “Skip” Leslie sadly passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 75. He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet Leslie; his loving daughters, Tiffany Wuebben, Ariana Ford as well as her partner Patrik Jorgensen; his cherished grandchildren Jordan, Julea, Valden, Colten, Paityn, Brooklyn ; his brother Donald Leslie; and a host of family members and friends who were blessed to know him. Skip was preceded in death by his son Valden Leslie and brother Richard Leslie.
For the past several years, Skip was a familiar and beloved presence at Safeway in Petaluma, where he worked with warmth, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to both customers and the community. This was also present in his 40 years in car sales and management. His work ethic and loyalty were unmistakable, leaving a legacy built on kindness, integrity, and service.
Born in San Diego, California, Skip was the youngest of 3 brothers. From an early age, he was drawn to the ocean. He would eagerly hop into his 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle 396 and drive to the beach to surf at dawn—even before school. His love of the water stayed with him throughout his life , a symbol of his free spirit and deep appreciation for nature. He also enjoyed the comradery of softball and long rounds of golf with friends and collegues.
During this rather difficult time, in lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to assist Skip's widow Janet with various expenses, including funeral costs and memorial services.
