In 2014, I was absolutely privileged and blessed to meet Dan.
A then 47 year old Romanian man who had only been in the UK for a matter of weeks with a single minded desire and determination to provide financial security for his wife and child back home.
Within a matter of days I knew Dan was special! Not only did he display an appetite for honest and hard work, he also also managed to show me and others his overwhelmingly warm, funny and loving character...............

Before long Dan had become one of "The Gang", his English was excellent and he rapidly became way more of a friend than a work colleague. 

Dan represented an "Old School" or "Traditional" set of values, that we rarely see nowadays, he was an absolute gentleman! The sort of human being that you only read about in dusty old books. I never, in all the time knowing him, encountered anyone who had met him who didnt instantly like him. I feel like we could have all learnt something from Dan.

In August 2019, Dan sadly passed away at the age of 52. 

A good man and dear friend was taken from us and I speak not only for myself but for many others who met Dan when I say that I will always remember him and will always love him, more so, I will always feel enriched for for having him in our lives.
