In Loving Memory of Jim Dexter July 10, 1962 - June 27, 2022.

Our amazing, most wonderful Dad, passed away suddenly on June 27, 2022. This beautiful man was the best Dad, we could ever have hoped for. He was a loving Daddy, husband, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend and soon-to-be Grandpa. Jim's passion for living life full out was a big part of the legacy he leaves behind for all those who knew him and loved him. A Ford man through and through, Jim masterfully rebuilt many muscle cars since the age of 16; with his 1969 Mustang Fastback being the award winning favourite. James was only five months old when his Dad and Mom travelled down to El Paso Texas together, with James sleeping on the floormat. We drove down just the three of us, and returned home with a soon-to-be four of us, with our youngest son, Chase, on the way. Jim loved to take the boys down to the dunes in his Ford Raptor, joining his good friends on Raptor runs, riding the waves of sand, and soaking in the sun. He was known for his extensive Ford knowledge and helped many friends out by sharing his passion. Travelling down to California, Las Vegas, Arizona, and down the Oregon Coast hold many happy memories for us all. He created some of the most memorable moments for his family, and he always made sure his boys knew how much he loved and cherished them. His sarcastic humour and straight-forward talk was his trademark, and his honesty, and solid way of being was so full of integrity, we always knew he had our backs and that we could trust him with our lives. Mexico was a favourite destination for our Dad, and we were all planning a family trip together just a little over a month before he passed. His sweet dog, Cabo, was his very best friend, and she is such a loving comfort to have in our lives right now, keeping his memory alive. Not many people knew that our Dad and Mom had re-united after twenty-eight years, proving to us all, that love never ends, and what's meant to be will always find it's way home. Our recent family gatherings were some of the best days for us all, and we will hold them close in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Dad, you were the best at life more than anyone we know, and you taught us well, even when you were correcting us and giving us shit. We always knew your words and guidance was coming from a place of love. We miss you more than words can express and it's been so hard to say goodbye. Knowing we have to continue on without you beside us is one of the most difficult challenges of all. Your precious granddaughter is about to be born, and she will be named after you in your honour. Knowing and trusting God's keeping you safe, we believe you will be watching over us every step of the way, and the signs that we receive help us to remember you and we will cherish them all forever and always.

In loving memory of our Dad, best friend and greatest Love, who is so worth every tear... thank you everyone for your prayers and love for our family during this difficult time.

With love,

James, Chase, Shannon, Helena, Michelle and Cabo
