Maddie’s Memory
Raising funds to help pay for funeral expenses for the family. Heather, Maddie’s mother, was a member of the WHS class of ‘88.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend, Maddie Jones. She passed away on the morning of Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at the age of 20.
From the time she was young, Maddie enjoyed playing Upward Sports at Second Baptist Church, and loved listening to all types of music. She also had a soft spot for all animals, especially dogs and cats, but hanging out with her friends was her favorite way to spend her time. Maddie was a 2018 graduate of Veterans High School.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving parents, Heather Paugh (Mark) of Bonaire and Randall Jones (Cheryl) of Warner Robins; sister, Alison Gamache of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandparents, Thomas and Joyce Herndon of Warner Robins, George and June Jones of Fernandina, Florida and Teresa Hancock of Springdale, Arkansas; and uncles and aunts, Terry Jones and Mike Jones of Warner Robins and Addie, Ivey, Ben and Scott Bressler, all of Texas.
In 2012, Maddie became a heart transplant recipient. Through the years, she kept a close relationship with her donor’s family. Maddie’s family wants to express their ceaseless gratitude to the family of Jordan Elizabeth White for giving Maddie life.
Her family will receive friends at McCullough Funeral Home on Monday, March 22, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with Reverend Jim McIlrath officiating. Maddie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
