We are raising funds in loving memory of our dear friend, who recently passed away after battling cancer. She was someone who brought warmth, kindness and light to the people around her, and her loss has left a deep space in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Those who knew her will remember her beautiful smile and contagious laugh and the strength she showed through everything she faced. Even during her illness, she remained incredibly strong and held firmly onto her faith in Allah. Her patience, resilience and trust in Allah were an inspiration to everyone around her. Although she is no longer with us, her strength and iman has left a lasting impression on us.

During her final days, she was cared for at Sue Ryder Hospice, where the staff showed incredible compassion and support not only to her, but to her family and friends as well. The care she received there meant so much to us, and we will always be grateful for the comfort they provided during such a difficult time.

To honour her memory, we want to create something lasting in her name through Sadaqah Jariyah - a continuous charity in Islam where the reward continues for as long as people benefit from it. The Prophet (SAW) said, “The best charity is giving water.” (Nasa’i).

With your support, we hope to donate a community water well, an incredible form of Sadaqah Jariyah, helping provide reliable access to clean water throughout the year. These wide, deep wells are designed to provide a dependable water source for personal use, livestock and small-scale farming. Any remaining funds raised will be donated to Sue Ryder Hospice to support the incredible work they do in caring for people at the end of their lives and supporting their families.

This fundraiser is our way of remembering her with love and creating something meaningful that will continue to benefit others in her name for years to come. We are deeply grateful for any support, donations, or shares that help us reach this goal.

We pray that Allah surrounds her with His infinite mercy and forgiveness, expands her grave and fills it with light and peace. May Allah overlook her shortcomings, accept her patience during her illness, and elevate her ranks among the righteous. May He grant her the highest place in Jannah, and reunite her with those she loves in eternal peace. May every drop of water that flows from this well become a continuous source of reward for her, benefiting her in the hereafter and continue to raise her status and bring her comfort in her grave. We ask Allah to accept this charity on her behalf, to make it a means of ongoing mercy for her, and to grant patience and strength to all those who loved her.
