In Loving Memory of Zion John Coutouzis

Donation protected

My nephew, Zion John Coutouzis was born on March 18th, 2019, much to the delight and joy of his parents, Devon Coutouzis and George Coutouzis of Florence, Kentucky. Devon and a George were given a very grim diagnosis for Zion while he was in utero, of Trisomy 18, a rare chromosomal condition associated with abnormalities in many parts of the body.

George and Devon didn’t ponder the thought of ending Zion’s precious life, but rather decided to leave it up to God, to have the final say in how many days he would have on this earth.

Soon after Zion’s birth, Devon began to blog their long, tireless yet amazing  journey here: Fearfullyandwonderfullyzion.home.blog

My sister and her family gave Zion the most perfect and fulfilling life they could. He enjoyed stroller rides to feel the sun and wind on his face...he was able to play with his brother and sister, jump in a bouncy seat and soak up ALL the love from his family. He thrived at home with his beloved family!! They stopped at nothing to advocate for him and see that each day, was his BEST day!

God had the final say, on August, 2nd 2020 when Zion transitioned into Heaven after contracting a serious cold. It was exactly 503 days that he was here changing lives, on this earth. He’s brought countless people closer to the Lord, and was covered in prayer, throughout many corners of the globe. Zion’s brief life had a greater purpose, one that succeeds human comprehension!

To say that my sister’s family has been through a lot is an understatement!! A big one! The amount of sacrifice it has taken to care for Zion 24/7, balance time with their other two children, daily travel back and fourth to the hospital, all while running a household, is exhausting to even type. My hope is that they can use the funds raised here for a much-needed family vacation (post COVID)! They deserve a chance to take a breath and relax, or of course to utilize the funds towards Zion’s funeral expenses...how ever they choose!

THANK YOU, sincerely, to everyone who has prayed for Zion and the family during this difficult time! Please share the link, as you may wish to do so. God is good!
