Dear Families, Friends and Love Ones,
Days from losing our mother, we are so devastated to further announce that our loving brother, Yia Vue, also took his last breath on February 4, 2021. Yia was such a charismatic and friendly person who always welcomed everyone with open arms. We are so deeply heartbroken to lose both Yia and our mother days apart from each other.
Yia leaves behind his beautiful little family: his loving wife of 8 years, Amy and their three young boys, Isaac (7), Noah (4) and baby Jacob (1). Yia cherished and loved his three boys tremendously and we are so sad that they will grow up without their dad. Yia loved playing video games growing up and he shared his love for video games with his boys. Yia and Isaac often played Zelda together and Yia and Noah would play Super Smash Bros together. When we broke the news of Yia’s passing to Isaac, he cried knowing that his father will no longer be here to help him fight off the monsters in Zelda. His boys miss him everyday.
"You're the best dad in the world. You're the best dad in Smash. You're the best dad in Breathe of the Wild. You're the best dad in the city." - Noah Vue
"I'll miss you forever and until the last day of my life. I'll see you in heaven." - Isaac Vue
Yia also leaves behind his father, Boua Hue Vue, his six siblings, two sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, five nieces and one nephew. Yia was the oldest child and took care of his siblings. They often looked to him for guidance and he willingly supported each of his siblings in their endeavours. Our family is deeply lost from losing both our mother and our big brother.
We’ve opened this platform to give our families, friends and anyone touched by Yia’s story, an opportunity to contribute towards his funeral expenses, as well as to his little family. Any contribution is welcomed and appreciated.
If contributions through GoFundMe are inconvenient, we kindly accept contributions through Venmo @iam-vwj as well.
