It is with shattered hearts and profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Yenny. She left us far too soon following a grave medical crisis. Yenny passed away suddenly in the ICU on January 17, 2026, after a rare and aggressive form of cancer that progressed in an incredibly short period of time. Her unexpected loss has left her family, friends, and loved ones devastated.

We are raising funds to help cover cremation and memorial service expenses, outstanding medical related bills, transportation expenses to return Yenny's remains to Colombia, second memorial and columbarium burial arrangements in Colombia as her family is awaiting to have her remains to rest in peace besides her mother’s columbarium niche and unexpected expenses associated with loss and grief support

Yenny was a selfless, honest, good friend and deeply hardworking woman. She was a devoted mother and home provider not only for her household, but also for her family in Colombia. Despite long work hours, she always made time for what mattered most—attending Andres’ soccer games, sharing coffee with friends at Tim's, walking her baby dog, caring her plants or spending quiet evenings at home watching movies so she could be up early the next morning, ready to work again.

Above all else, Yenny was a loving mother. Andres meant the world to her, and she worked tirelessly to give him everything he needed while he pursued his education. No matter the circumstances, her family always knew they could count with her support

Any donation, share, or kind thought is deeply appreciated. Your support helps ease the financial burden during this painful time and reminds Yenny’s family that they are not alone.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, generosity, and for helping us honor Yenny’s beautiful life and legacy.

From her son Andres:

My mom, Yenny, was one of the hardest working people I’ve ever had the pleasure of admiring and looking up to. She was never someone to complain even when times were hard. She always put me and the rest of our family in Colombia first. It didn’t matter if she was tired or if she didn’t always receive recognition for everything she did. She always found ways to show love, support, and strength in any way she could. On days she didn’t work she would still wake up early just to make breakfast for me. She always made it clear that I wasn’t allowed to leave for school or for my apprenticeship work unless I had eaten something. Every morning, she was my company when I drove her to work, and she never failed to wish me an amazing day. She was my role model, my biggest support, and the person who always put me above all else. She sacrificed so much for me, everything I am today is thanks to her. She was a woman of very strong character, just like her mom, but once you truly got to know her, you'd see that she had the biggest and kindest heart you could ever come across. She loved sending me FB or Insta. videos telling me that even though she was hard on me at times, it was teaching me valuable life lessons, and it would make me laugh at the time but I’m forever thankful for everything she did for me. I promised her that I will keep making her proud of me and that I will take care of everything she ever cared about, her plants, her other baby (our dog "Yoshi"), and most importantly, our family in Colombia. To finish off, I want to remind everyone to always appreciate the loved ones around you as life can change so quickly.

I love you forever, Mami!!
