A Father Gone Too Soon: Help His Children Put Him to Rest
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My father, Woon Yi, was a kind person. Even though he was a single dad, he did the best that he could and gave us double the amount of love we could ever ask for. I love him and appreciate him, and I wish I could have expressed that to him more when he was still with us.
My father went into cardiac arrest on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, and what initially seemed to be a minor emergency soon turned into a tragedy as multiple doctors informed us that our father would not be able to wake up. We wanted to hold onto hope and prayed that he would wake up, but even if he did, he wouldn't have made a meaningful recovery and would be in a vegetative state for the remainder of his life.
It breaks our hearts to have to make the decision to let him go, but after battling kidney failure for the last 2 years, we knew it would be the best decision to make for him. No more pain, no more worries, and finally reunited with his father, his brothers, and his best friend.
Although he left my younger siblings and me a bit sooner than we wanted, we still want to honor his life and legacy, and want to give him the funeral that he deserves.
I am creating this fund to help pay for funeral costs as my siblings and I have no one left to turn to. We appreciate any form of donation, and even if donations can't be made, we would gladly accept any prayers/good thoughts, advice, and sharing this project to as many people as possible.
Thank you so much for helping 4 kids who want to do one last thing for a father they love and will miss for the rest of their lives.
